Cross-Cultural-Library

Welcome to the Cross-Cultural Library
The University of Guadalajara (U de G) and the University of California at Los Angeles are jointly developing a means of organizing and distributing information by means of electronic networks, specifically the world-wide Internet. The focus here will be on cross-border public health issues of concern to both Mexico and the USA. A bi-national conference (10 participants from Mexico, 10 participants from the USA) will be held at U de G to explore ways to implement an electronic information exchange system. Based on the results and findings of the conference, a demonstration system will be setup focusing on health problems, behaviors, cultural practices and policies relating to AIDS. The results of this project will be readily applicable to a number of electronic information exchange programs in health, the humanities, and the social, natural and physical sciences.
