Growing up in a small predominantly white suburb of chicago made it difficult to learn our gente's history/struggle in these united states. I finally learned about our culture when I entered college. I'm still learning every day, what it means to be a Chicana. In this city (San Antonio) where the Alamo is revered and anglos are in power. It is crucial for our survival to teach the younger generation that mejicanos have a rich, powerful history. Your series "Chicano" is a wonderful step into the right direction. Viva la Raza! Viva Mexico!

I enjoyed the series. I learned a lot about the Chicano movement and it made me want to learn more! Now I want to learn what it means to be a "Chicana". I felt a sense of pride that I had never experienced before. Good work!
