Research: I am interested in minority achievement in higher education, especiallt in terms of John Ogbu's theory of Secondary Cultural Characteristics. I am a Program Coordinator for the Ohio State University's Young Scholars Program, a pre-college program for academically talented minority youth. My goal is to engage in research which will provide practical solutions to the problem of minority attrition in higher education, especially for hispanics.
